Bleiswijk de kauw

We are Helen and Edwin. In 2023, we started Brouwerij De Kauw, the only brewery in our beautiful Bleiswijk.

Our brewing adventure started as a hobby with a 30-liter brewing kettle. After many brews and adjustments to the recipe, we finally brewed our first Tripel. We named it after Edwin's stepfather.

It soon became clear that the beer was a success in terms of taste. Demand became too great for our small 30-liter kettle, so we had to scale up. The rest is history...

Ondeugende Joost is our first beer, and the next one is coming soon: Blonde Helen.

The ingredients of our brews: pure water, carefully selected malt and hops, and a whole lot of love for good beer.
