Beun Brewing

Brouwerij Beun started in a small apartment near the Vlissingen boulevard, with a 30-liter kettle and a few plastic buckets. What began as experimenting—making mistakes and improving—quickly grew into a serious hobby. Stainless steel vats, a bottling machine, and increasingly professional equipment followed—a true passion that got out of hand.

After a year, the brewery moved to a garage in the city center of Vlissingen. There, the first major success came at the Abbey Beer Festival. That whetted their appetite for more: Beun officially became a company and had the recipe brewed in Belgium. From the end of September 2024, the first 'garage beer' went on sale. Demand grew rapidly, causing production to be doubled within just a month.

The growth continued, and a second, larger garage followed. In May 2025, the second beer was launched, and by then, Beun was already available at 30 locations. In September 2026, the permit was obtained to brew on-site. This led to new, powerful beers such as the DIPA, Snipperdag Tripel, and Maple Dubbel.

What started with 30 liters in an apartment has grown into a fully-fledged brewery with its own signature, straight from Vlissingen.
