Kwadrup Poel 75 cl – dark power to put away

Three-quarters of a liter quadruple by Brouwerij De Poel from Langeraar, almost black, with caramel from cane sugar and rock candy. You rarely open a bottle like that by yourself, and that is exactly the idea.

The same quadruple as the small bottle, only with more opportunity to take your time with it. This one goes on the table, or perhaps at the back of the cupboard until it's chilly enough outside.

Patience is part of the recipe here.

Brouwerij De Poel is the initiative of Peter and Stefan Touw, father and son with a shared love for beer. From Langeraar in South Holland, they developed their hobby into a craft microbrewery.

Since 2020, they have been continuously working on developing and refining their own recipes. What started with small batches of 5 liters grew into brewing with a 30-liter automatic kettle. As soon as a recipe is fully perfected, it is scaled up externally to larger batches of 1,000 liters. The first beer on this scale appeared in 2025 and was brewed at De Noord-Hollandse Bierbrouwerij.

De naam De Poel verwijst naar de Langeraarse Plassen ook wel de drie “Poelen” het natuurgebied dat de brouwerij inspireert en haar thuisbasis vormt.
